Session Overview:
Metacognition and Self-Regulation is one of the most accessed strands on the EEF's Teaching and Learning Toolkit. Evidence suggests the use of these strategies can be worth the equivalent of an additional 7 months progress when used well. The potential impact of these approaches is very high, particularly for disadvantaged pupils; however, less is known about how to apply them effectively in the classroom - and with good reason! It can be hard to describe what metacognition means in the classroom.
This programme for Wirral schools (all phases) will help delegates to explore the evidence and support you to plan how to implement the evidence into action in classrooms and improve pupils’ learning.
